Hello Everyone!! The 2007-2008 UD basketball Season has begun, and while we are off to a rocky start, we all know that things will get better as the season rolls on. Football is till going on. The traveling Blue Hens have one more game before they completely concentrate on their studies. We wish the the best of luck, and hope for another national championship.

It has been awhile since the web site has been updated, so please accept my apologies. Will try to be more current as the season wears on. The first club meeting is on Mon. Dec. 10, (tonight!!)

Due to various difficulties, there will be not trips to any away games this year. More details are given at the trip location on this page. Trips 

Whatever the results on the court, the teams deserve our continued support. Look over our web page and provide feedback to any member of the club board of directors. We also ask that you give some consideration to joining the club.

Club Background

The club was founded in 1998 with the sole purpose of supporting both the Men's  and Women's basketball programs at the University of Delaware. The Club holds scheduled dinner meetings periodically during the basketball season. At these meetings there is the opportunity to meet players and coaches from both teams, as well as periodic guest speakers. The players and coaches all speak at the meetings

The club also sponsors bus trips to some of the away games, providing the loyal Blue Hen fans with the opportunity to support our teams on the road. The planned meetings and trips are available on this site.

The purpose of this web page is to provide information for club members as well as prospective members. Links are provided to other sites relevant to the basketball programs, along with other sites of interest. If you have any suggestions, comments, or complaints contact one of the board members listed below. Check back periodically for announcements regarding the club and the basketball programs.

Scheduled Club Meetings:

All meetings will be held at Klondike Kate's on Main Street in Newark. The meeting includes a buffet dinner, appearances by coaches and players from both the men's and women's team. Parking is available at Municipal lots in Newark and will be validated by Klondike Kate's. Be sure you bring your parking stub with you to the meeting. The players and coaches all speak at the meetings. This is a great time for fellowship, to meet the young men and women who represent our University. Cost of all of this is only $20.00 per person. You don't have to be a club member to attend so come out and if you like what you see and hear, please consider joining. The meeting schedule follows. Please note that the first meeting is on a Monday, with all others being on a Tuesday.

      Scheduled Bus Trips:

Unfortunately The club is unable to schedule any trips this year. The difficulty of identifying trips that would be of interest, obtaining tickets and other logistical matters, such as scheduling, made having any trips this year as virtually impossible. We were not able to get tickets tot he Maryland game, and the JMU start time was moved to 12:00 noon. Your board of directors will continue to look for trip opportunities, and will welcome any suggestions.
